And anybody else who may have a snide remark. I have been speaking to a few of you over the last month or so about the New Mutants. There was actually a reason behind my nosiness.

I plan to approach the professor about taking on a role as mentor for the New Mutants. Mr. Marko and Mr. Kane did a beautiful job of getting the program up and running, but I kind of think you need a little more to keep it in a forward direction.

Before I even approach the prof, I have some questions for the students, or anybody who has any ideas, really.

If I am approved as the guide for the New Mutants, what would you want or expect out of me? What do you expect out of the New Mutants?

Being as I don't really know anything about it, I'd have to say the first question is "What is this whole New Mutants thing?"

There is the information in the new student pack, but the New Mutants are a training program for us to be working together and learning about each other, as well as helping others. There is the powers and self defence training part, and then we are doing the field trips, like to the forest just after you are arriving, only you and Johnny were being sick.

I know I'd like us to have more teamwork sessions in the danger room or something. I'm pretty happy with the way things have gone, more or less, but I'd love to sit down and talk to you about some ideas I've had.

I really don't know much about the team, either, so I'm afraid I'm not going to be much help.

I think the New Mutants are doing the good job of what was being intended - to teach us to work together as the group. When we were in Malibu, we were looking out for each other and making sure no-one was being silly - I think it was the proof that things are going well.
